Kick-start the new year with the return of Finn Sisu's Hiihto Relay Race at Battle Creek!
Your team of two (yourself and one partner) will alternate laps on the Battle Creek man-made loop, skiing 2 laps each for a total of four laps. This is a freestyle race. The race totals roughly 10 km, with each of you skiing 5 km. The race starts promptly at 11 am, with the course closing at 10:50 am, and bib pick up also ending at 10:50 am. We would love for this to be a large community gathering so we are calling on skiers of all ability levels to come out and have FUN as we ring in the New Year and the third season of snow making at BC. For this event we have a max capacity of 200 individuals, or 100 relay teams. So, sign up early to confirm your spot! We ask you to come up with a creative team name for the race which you will submit during the registration process.
There will be prizes for the top 3 teams, warm drinks, and a post race snack available only for participants. We cannot wait to see you there!
** New this year! The Hiihto relays are part of the Tour De Finn! You do not have to register with someone who is also on your tour team, points will be calculated on an individual basis. **
**You and your race partner will both need to register individually, but under the same team name.**
